Adult beginners' pottery - seven weeks - Wednesday evening - starting June 4th
Course details:
This is the perfect course to introduce students to the world of pottery. Over the seven weeks you’ll get to try your hand at a range of hand building techniques, including slab work and coiling - plus you’ll be given the opportunity to learn how to throw on the wheel. You’ll also get to explore various decorating techniques using coloured slip, underglaze and dipping glazes.
Course time and dates:
The course begins on Wednesday 4th June, 19.00-21.30 and it runs for 7 weeks.
Course fee:
The seven week course costs £245 and includes the firing and glazing of four of your finished pieces. Students are welcome to keep as many of their creations as they like, but there will be a small charge for the clay, glaze and firing of other works.
Catch up sessions:
We can’t offer tutored catch up sessions, but if you do miss a class, we shall do everything we can to offer you to make-up time in the studio. This won’t be tutored, but you will be supported while you work independently. This will need to take place during the hours of 9-3 during the week. (Please contact us directly to organise this before you book if it’s a deal breaker!)
Finding us and parking:
The Mud Rooms’ address is Buckhurst Works, Bayham rd., East Sussex, TN39BP. (It might be best to pop ‘Space2Make’ into your Sat Nav as the postcode might take you to a nearby farm!). There is plenty of parking on site.
