Homeschooling classes - seven weeks - 11-18 yr-olds - starting June 4th - 13.30-15.30

£175.00

The course itself:

Our homeschooling pottery classes are ideal for any secondary school-aged child regardless of their previous experience. The course will include a range of hand building including slab and coil work, plus throwing on the wheel. Students will also get to try out a range of decorating techniques with coloured slips, underglazes and dipping glazes. There will also be scope for more experienced potters to undertake their own projects while being supported by their tutor.

Included in the course:

The course fee includes 4 glazed and fired pieces. Students are welcome to keep as many of their creations as they like, but there is a small fee for the clay, glazing and firing of additional items.

Catch up sessions:

Unfortunately as this is the only homeschooling course we run, if a student misses one of the lessons (for any reason) there is no opportunity to have a catch up session. If there’s space in the studio schedule, however, we will do our best to offer a 2-hour studio session to make up the time. This will not be tutored, but someone will be on hand to offer support.

Course dates, times and fees:

The course runs every Wednesday from 13.30-15.30. It begins on June 4th and runs for 7 weeks. The price of the course is £175.

Finding us and parking:

Our address is The Mud Rooms, Bayham Road, East Sussex, TN39BP. There is plenty of parking on site. If you’re coming to The Mud Rooms for the first time and have a Sat Nav, it’s sometimes better to put in ‘Space2Make’ as the postcode might take you to a local farm instead of the pottery!
